Self-Book Appointments

We would like to make our patients aware we are now offering the option to self-book for some appointments.

For our patients who are due routine checks/reviews with our Practice Nurses or Health care assistants,  such as blood pressure checks, blood tests or routine health checks for diabetes, asthma reviews and smears we will be sending them a SMS (text message) inviting them to book an appointment via a link included in the message. Patients still have the option to call us on 01442 500164 and book should they prefer.

This will enable our patients to book a face to face appointment in a selected clinic specific to the review they have been invited to attend, without having to ring the surgery and wait in a call queue. Hopefully this will enable our patients to access the appointment they need much quicker and with ease.

An example of a message patients would receive would look like this:

Dear xxxxxx

Your last blood pressure reading was slightly higher than National Guidelines. We would like to offer an appointment to recheck your blood pressure. You can book an appointment via the link below or call the surgery to book.

Everest House Surgery

Following clicking on the link, you will be asked to confirm your identity by entering your date of birth. You will then be able to access a page with a list of available dates and appointment times to select. Once selected and booked a confirmation text message will be sent to you to confirm your appointment.
