In recent months Everest House has made a number of adjustments in how patients wishing to access the practice for urgent or on the day appointments contact us. Further to the introduction of eConsult on the practice website we are keen to reduce pressure on our phone lines by directing patients to utilise this online service.
eConsult can be accessed via our website on your computer, mobile or tablet device. This will allow you to get advice and treatment from your GP online as well as help with things like getting a follow-on sick note or checking a test result without the need to book an appointment or ring the surgery.
At Everest House we run a GP lead triage system which means that all requests for Urgent Appointments along with these completed eConsults are reviewed on the day and appointments are allocated based upon clinical need.
From June 5th the practice will only accept requests for urgent appointments or home visits between 8am and 10am. Outside of these hours we will be asking patients to complete eConsult forms on our homepage here.
To reassure patients, we will not be turning our phone lines off, we would just like to ensure we can be more accessible to those vulnerable patients who cannot access us by other means or allow those patients wishing to book routine appointments to contact us easier.
Those patients who have the NHS App will find that eConsult is available via the app. Patients can also book appointments, request medications and access medical records on the app.
