We provide a full general practice service and offer patients specialist advice and support in the following areas:
Minor surgical operations
Your GP can refer you to the most appropriate service.
Travel immunisations (excluding Yellow Fever)
The practice nurses offer this service. Please make an appointment about 8 weeks before your holiday. There maybe a charge for some vaccine; our nurse will advise you of this.
Health checks
General health checks looking at risk factors for ill health can be arranged with practice nurses. This can include blood tests if indicated.
Smoking cessation clinic
We offer specially trained clinical staff who can assist with smoking cessation advice.
Counselling
Your doctor can refer you for counselling if he or she feels you may benefit from this service.
Womens health
Appointments may be made with our practice nurses who provide morning and afternoon clinics for cervical smears and breast awareness.
Blood clinic
We offer this service for routine blood tests.
Baby and children’s immunisations
Our nurses give vaccines to babies at Everest House Surgery.

Family planning advice
Antenatal and postnatal checks can be arranged by making an appointment with your doctor or midwife. All the doctors provide contraceptive services.

Treatment room
The practice offers the following services to its patients:
- Wound management
- ECGs
- Ear wax removal (as needed for ENT referral)
- Home B/P monitoring
- Ring pessary insertion and removal
Interpreter services
The practice is able to make arrangements for an interpreter to join your GP consultation over the phone, please advise reception when booking your appointment if an interpreter is required so that arrangements can be made immediately prior to your appointment.
If you require a sign language interpreter this will be arranged in person provided sufficient notice has been given, usually a few days notice is required to be able to book a BSL interpreter.
