Clinics and Services
We provide a full general practice service and offer patients specialist advice and support in the following areas:
Minor Surgical Operations
Minor surgical operations can be arranged by your doctor, who will either perform the minor surgery him/herself, or refer you to the appropriate hospital clinic.
Travel Immunisations (Excluding Yellow Fever)
The practice nurses offer this service. Please make an appointment about 8 weeks before your holiday. There maybe a charge for some vaccine; our nurse will advise you of this.
General health checks looking at risk factors for ill health can be arranged with practice nurses. This can include blood tests if indicated.
Smoking Cessation Clinic
We offer specially trained clinical staff who can assist with smoking cessation advice.
Your doctor can refer you for counselling if he or she feels you may benefit from this service.
Appointments may be made with our practice nurses who provide morning and afternoon clinics for cervical smears and breast awareness.
We offer this service for routine blood tests, mainly for older or infirm patients.
Under fives immunisations are undertaken by the practice nurse on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Routine appointments will normally be sent out by the Health Authority inviting parents to bring their children on dates that fit the recommended schedule.
Family Planning Advice
Ante-Natal and Post-Natal checks can be arranged by making an appointment with your doctor or midwife. All the doctors provide contraceptive services. Coil fittings can be arranged by special appointment with Dr Tipple. We have a midwife who visits the practice on Tuesday and Wednesdays.
